WikiLeaks has released a document set called the Afghan War Diary, a compendium describing lethal military actions involving the United States troops; also include intelligence information, reports of meetings with political figures, and related facts.

The 91,000 reports were written by soldiers and intelligence officers, from 2004 to 2010 and are available on the following page: http://wardiary.wikileaks.org/

The news are shocking, enlightening how coalition forces have killed hundreds of civilians in unreported episodes, Taliban attacks have ascended and Nato chief officers seem to be alarmed about Pakistan and Iran uprising.

The files, were made accessible to the Guardian, the New York Times and the German weekly Der Spiegel, provide a detailed description of the war over the last years.

According to the newspapers that have received the reports, it is also explained: how a top secret "black" unit of Special Forces captures Taliban leaders for "kill or imprison" without trial; the covered evidences on deadly surface-to-air missiles acquired by the Taliban, a remote control base in Nevada, and the Taliban roadside bombing campaign, which has killed more than 2,000 civilians to date. The errors at civilians' expense, as it is named in the logs, include the day French troops strafed a bus full of children in 2008, wounding eight, but other shootings by UK and US troops show the real costs of this conflict and the common trend of NATO and how it is difficult to obtain the accurate information, without the dissemination and investigation of the reported stories.

In a statement, the White House criticised the publication of the files by Wikileaks and said that: "It is important to note that the time period reflected in the documents is January 2004 to December 2009."
