Solidarity with the French social mobilisations against the new labour law by Macron
*Motion approuved by the Executive Board*
After the adoption of the "Loi El Khomri" in France, through the undemocratic 49-3 method and despite the big popular movement rejecting it, Emmanuel Macron and "En marche" decided to go further with the "ordonnances". Those 5 texts allow the Government to decide without debate in the Parliament. The concrete measure, made for the big owners, aim to increase precariousness and organise the destruction of workers' and unionists' rights and protections.
The "liberalisation of the labour markets", one of the main political orientations of the neoliberal EU, have already led to enough social drama in many European countries. Any attack of this kind in a country is an attack against all workers of Europe.
The European Left affirms its solidarity with the social movement growing in France under the umbrella of Trade-unions, with the support of left forces and civil society. We wish success to the coming days of actions and demonstrations.
